Funded is secured via the governments 'Energy Company Obligation' - a scheme designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce fuel poverty and reduce climate change from carbon emissions. Funding for energy improvements comes from Energy suppliers such as British Gas, NPower, EDF etc. The Government sets these utility companies targets to reduce carbon emissions. This is the Energy Companies Obligation (ECO); energy efficiency installers carry out the work and then invoice Utility companies for the grant amount to cover their costs for parts and labour.

The occupier of a property is entitled to an Eco funding grant, as they are responsible for paying fuel bills, and not the landlord. Privately renting tenants are eligible to grants, depending on their circumstances. We do require written permission from your landlord before carrying out any work, but Eco HQ Limited can make these arrangements for you.
